## Teaching College Level Math

A **college level math teacher** is generally a professor who is well trained in mathematics and has either a Master’s degree or a PhD in Mathematics.

There are teacher’s assistants who are training to get their master’s degree and who help teach the classes to the students.

The primary topics involved in teaching college-level mathematics are calculus and linear algebra. Algebra and trigonometry are sometimes taught as well to students who didn’t get that education while they were in high school. No special certification other than professorship status are required for math teachers at that level of education.
